Parkrun for Juniors/Inters

Roundshaw 5k Time Trial

With no Junior XC meet so far, this weekend sees the team meet at the Sports Pavilion at Plough Lane to walk the short distance to the start of the Roundshaw 5k Parkrun.

There are thousands of these 5k (3.1 miles) races every Saturday all across the UK. It is a public event open to anyone and is free to enter. Therefore is any parents or siblings want to run this Saturday you are more than welcome.

The race is 2 laps of the old airfield behind our playing fields and the boys will be timed and the results are published later that day.

We will meet at the Pavilion at 8.15 as the race begins at 9.00. If you want to meet us at the start of the race itself, details are on the link above, but basically the start is near to the Battle of Britain Memorial on Purley Way.

If you have never run a Parkrun you will need to register before the race online. You will then have to print off a barcode which you carry in your pocket when running. This is then used to link the time to the runner.

I will be available in Room 1 (The ICT room) Friday lunchtime for any runners who need to register and print off their details.
