Fantastic Junior Knole Performance!

The Junior Team travelled to Knole Park in Sevenoaks, for the annual Junior Knole Run. This is the biggest national race for Juniors, with participating schools from across the country.

The conditions were horrendous, rain and cold, plus a very muddy course. With competition so high the 12 plucky Year 7 & 8 runners set off with gusto.

The results were fantastic!

Well done to Chris Finch for improving his 2019 position by 20 places, amazing run by year 7 Adam Reeves to finish 28th out of 300+ is great. Well done to Oliver Anstee who had his best run for the school and Daniel Finch proved the running genes run strong by completing the A team.
Everyone ran brilliantly, and special mention to Ollie Rayner who took a full length fall at the start, and to Aidan Orpin who ran the course in trainers

Honestly this was an outstanding performance by all concerned!

With a smaller team than usual, it was great to see the runners come higher in the positions and deservedly gain some of the limelight - well done to all who ran!

BOROUGH CHAMPIONS!

Having come so close in recent years, and 2nd last year after a points count back, John Fisher were finally able to put the consistent performance together across all age groups to win the Sutton Borough Cross-Country Championships

The 1 mile course was, as usual, brilliantly marked at Sutton Grammar, and a good XC course with flat, wooded areas and a small hill to contend with. Perfect running weather meant we were up for the start.

JFS had come fully prepared, with Miss Tomes and Francis as usual, alongside Mr O'Hallaran and Mr Street in support!
