Season Opener Success

With only one minibus available, it was a reduced squad that travelled to Oxted for this season opener, a sub-mile relay.

Conditions were good, with firm ground and a crisp morning. Then opponents were Oxted themselves, Tiffin and Trinity

The Juniors were in fine form, finishing 2nd behind the hosts Oxted.

All the runners ran well, in what was fr the majority a first run of the year, and indeed for quite a while

Charlie Kitchen     7.06
Paul Hewitt            6.30
John Hilario           6.40
Ebuka Nkamuo      6.07

Jacob Horle            7.10

Well done to Edbuka for a great last leg, unlucky Matthew Conway who could not run due to illness on the day, and well done Jacob who had to run the first leg without a team

The Inters had a very strong team, and duly won their relay quite comfortably - a great start to the season!

Peter Edwards      5.46
Freddy Georgiou  5.35
Joe Conroy           5.48
Alfie Smith           5.43

Well done to all the runners, very consistent and a great start to the year

The Seniors came across a strong Tiffin team, and with some runners suffering the ill effects of a night out and lack of sleep, to finish 2nd was a strong effort

Ryan Galvin    5.22
Harry Smith    5.12
Jacob Jones     5.16
Alex Galvin     5.43

Great legs from Harry and Jacob, a strong first leg as usual from Ryan, and a with no one to really run against, Alex was able to get the metres in the legs for upcoming challenges

WELL DONE TO ALL RUNNERS, NOW ONTO THE SEASON AHEAD
NEXT WEEK: ROUNDSHAW PARKRUN
